Sipe, 80, Somerset died Jan. 28, 1994, at Patriot Manor. Born Oct. 30, 1913, in Milford Township. Son of the late Edward J. and Anna (Fritz) Sipe. Preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Paul and Karl Sipe, and sisters, Jane Shultz, Margaret Custer, and Ada Etzel. Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Mary Ellen Stern; daughter, Mrs. Larry (Connie) Ream of Crown Point Ind., and sons, Luther Reed Sipe of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Neil Sipe of Tallahassee, Fla. Also eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Theodore C. Sipe of Rockwood RD 1. Retired owner-operator of Somerset Refrigeration Service. Former owner-operator of Kingsville Motel near Erie. Mr. Sipe was well known in the area with expertise in antique refinishing. Former member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville. When family moved to Somerset, he became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Monday) at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at at [sic] 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel, Rev. Robert Hoover officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, New Centerville.
