Sipple, 87, of Meyersdale RD 1, died Dec. 6, 1983, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1896, in Elk Lick Township, daughter of the late Nathan and Lydia (Stevanus) Keim. She was preceded in death by three husbands: Joseph N. Tennefoss, Herman G. Lepley and Roy A. Sipple. She was also preceded in death by two sons: Joseph Tennefoss Jr. and Charles E. Lepley. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Virginia Shoff of Madison, Ohio; Mrs. Ruth Pickett of Euclid, Ohio; and Mrs. Marguerite Cockley of Meyersdale; three sons: Eugene Lepley, Euclid, Ohio; Glenn Lepley, Escondido, Calif.; and Robert Lepley, Edenton, N.C.; two sisters: Mrs. Ida Cain of Norfolk, Va.; and Mrs. Stella Hoyle of Cumberland, Md.; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Paul (Wilhelm) United Church of Christ and she served as tax collector in Elk Lick Township for 24 years. Friends were received in the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. Funeral services were held at the St. Paul United Church of Christ, the Rev. Carl P. Mitchell Jr. officiating. Interment, St. Paul Cemetery. The Republic, December 15, 1983 [S1856]
