Sipple, 81, of Meyersdale RD 1, died April 28, 1980, at home. He was born July 9, 1898, in Elk Lick Township. He was the son of the late Richard and Amy (Kretchman) Sipple. He is survived by wife, the former Mary A. Keim and five step-sons: Joseph Tennefoss, North Benton, Ohio; Eugene Lepley, Euclid, Ohio; Robert Lepley, Norfolk, Va.; Charles Lepley, Berryville, Ark.; and Glenn Lepley, Escondito, Calif. He is also survived by three step-daughters: Mrs. Virginia Shoff, Madison, Ohio; Mrs. Marguerite Cockley, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Ruth Ramoutar, Euclid, Ohio. Also survived by one sister, Miss Florence Sipple, Meyersdale RD 1, and a nephew, Clifford Engle, Meyersdale RD 1. Also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Salisbury. He owned and operated Sipple's Store in St. Paul for 35 years. Funeral services were held at the St. Paul (Wilhelm) United Church of Christ with the Rev. David E. Fetter and the Rev. Lloyd E. Sechriest officiating. Interment in St. Paul Cemetery. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. The Republic, May 8, 1980 [S1857]
