  MRS. LAWRENCE SKIDMORE
  
    Mrs. Leona Skidmore, 56, of Frostburg, died Jan. 30, 1974, in
  Frostburg Community Hospital, where she had been admitted Jan. 22.
    Born in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and
  Bessie (Simpson) Brode.
    She was a former employe [sic] of the down twist department of
  Amcelle plant of Celanese Fibers Company and retired last June after
  40 years of service.
    Surviving are her husband, Lawrence F. Skidmore; a daughter, Mrs.
  Edward Capel, Frostburg; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Alice
  Harden, Meyersdale; and a brother, Irvin Brode, of Chardon, Ohio.
    Funeral service was conducted February 1 in Durst Funeral Home,
  Frostburg, with Rev. Clarence A. Kaylor officiating.  Interment in
  Frostburg Memorial Park.
