Skinner, 76, of Confluence, died Jan. 28, 1975, in Uniontown Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Stewart Township, he was a son of the late Marcellus and Margaret (Moon) Skinner. He was an active member of Turkeyfoot Valley Baptist Church, where over the years he held a number of offices. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Sylvester, and a sister, Ada Tissue. Surviving are his wife, the former Nina Tissue, who had been a teacher in the Turkeyfoot Valley schools; also a daughter, Mrs. Noel (Marilyn) Wines, and four grandchildren, Christine, Theodore, Randolph and Leslie Anne, all of Cleveland Ohio; and three brothers, George and Earl of Mill Run RD, and Olaf of Confluence RD. Funeral service was held January 31 in Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. Interment in Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, February 6, 1975 [S1889]
