Born Nov. 22, 1891 in Marathon, Iowa, a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Cantwell) Ruby. Preceded in death by husband Sylvester, three sons, Robert, Edward, and Kenneth, daughter, Edith, one brother and five sisters. Surviving are the following children: Jay, Anna Metheney and Margaret McCarty, all of Confluence; Marvin of Farmington, Thelma McCarty of Janesville, Wisc.; Ruth Craven of Dorris, Calif.; Earl of Soldatna, Alaska; Ada Beggs of Midland, Texas; Janet Metheney of West Salem, Ohio; and Bonnie Wilt of Grantsville, Md.; 60 grandchildren, 130 great-grandchildren, 59 great-great-grandchildren, one sister and three brothers. A member of the Confluence Baptist Church. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Vernon Witt officiating. Interment, Hickman Chapel Cemetery. SKINNER Visitation and Hours of service have been changed for the funeral of Mary Edna Skinner.
