Born Jan. 22, 1917, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Frank K. and Besse (Colborn) Bailey. Graduated from Ohiopyle High School in 1934 and later attended beautician school in Pittsburgh. Employed as a beautician in Connellsville and later worked as a hostess at Fallingwater, near Mill Run. Member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church, Mill Run, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Anne Skinner, in June, 1963 and a sister, Roberta Parsons. Survived by her husband, Carl A. Skinner; a son, John D. Skinner and his wife, Barbara, of Johnstown, and a grandson, James Skinner of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Mildred Younkin of Clairton and Virginia Funk of Ohiopyle. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. John Davis officiating.
