"Skip" Skinner, DDS, 87, Agnes Avenue, Johnstown, formerly of Stoughton Lake, Jennerstown, went to be with the Lord July 4, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center, Main Campus. Born May 23, 1919, in Grafton, W. Va., son of the late Dr. Edward, DDS, and Mary Effie (Sturm) Skinner. Survived by loving wife, the former Fae Lambert; and his daughter, Dianne, married to Frank Schramko, Ill.; and his son, Donald "Skip" Skinner, married to Jane Whitfield, N.C. Also survived by stepchildren, Wayne Wagner, married to Cindy Springer, and Elaine (Wagner), married to Jack Mundorff, both of Bolivar; and David Wagner, married to Brenda Roberts, Texas. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graduate of Johnstown High School. Also graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and the university's dental school. Attended the New Life Nazarene Church, Boswell. Member of Jerome American Legion Post 802. Past president of the American Dental Association, Seventh District. Along with his father, operated a dental practice at 134 Park Place, Johnstown, for 60 years. Skip was also an accomplished organist. A veteran of World War II, serving as a captain with the U.S. Army in Belgium during the European Theater. Visitation from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell, the Rev. Randall S. Dillon officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. Memorials to the New Life Nazarene Church would be appreciated.
