  JOHN HENRY SLAGLE
  
    John Henry Slagle, 83, Somerset died Oct. 20, 1978 in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 30, 1895 in Larimer Township, Somerset
  County, he was a son of Henry and Harriet (Lint) Slagle.
    Preceded in death by two brothers, he is survived by his wife, the
  former Ada Viola Miller and these children: Marie, wife of Andrew
  Gurzenda, Somerset; Mrs. Pauline Float, Akron, Ohio; Hazel, wife of
  Chester Lowry, Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren and two
  great-grandchildren.
    Brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Murry, Meyersdale, he was a member of the
  St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset and VFW.  He was a
  veteran of WW I and a retired employee of the General Telephone Co.
    Friends were received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Richard H. Shellenberger
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
