  MYRON SLANE
  
    Myron (Whitey) Slane, 71, died June 13, 1981 in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.
    He was born in Van Wert, Ohio, and was a son of the late Marion and
  Tessie (Dingledine) Slane.
    He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Baltimore, Md.; was
  a veteran of World War II, a member of Salisbury VFW Post and was a
  retired construction worker.
     Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Thelma (Herring) Slane; a daughter,
  Miss Deborah K. Slane, Millersville; five brothers, Alvin Slane, Van
  Wert, Ohio; Dale Slane, Columbus, Ohio; William Slane, Niles, Ohio
  and Harold Slane, Macedonia, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Corbin,
  Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Norma Stanley, West Frankfort, Ill.
    The Newman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Services were conducted in the Newman Funeral Home June 15 with
  Rev. David Fetter officiating.  Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
