Born July 16, 1905, in Hooversville. Daughter of Albert and Elsie (Manges) Ashbrook. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Homer Roy Sleek; daughter Janet Miller; grandson, Gary Sleek, and two great-grandchildren; son-in-law James Bostic; brother Frank Ashbrook; sisters Mabel Carbaugh, Olive Spaugy, Bertha Tiers and Freda Kinzy. Survived by these children: Clayton G. "Jim," married to the former Olive Bowlin, of Somerset; Vivian, wife of Emmett Yost, of Selbyville, Del.; Earl, married to the former Patricia Shaffer, of Johnstown; Dorothy Bostic, Venice, Fla.; Marlene, wife of James DeVault, Hommasassa, Fla.; son-in-law Glenn Miller of Shanksville; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Graduate of Hooversville High School. Member of Boswell Church of God. Family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating. Interment P.O.S. of A.
