  Irvin Edward Slickerman, 89, Somerset, died Jan. 16, 2005, at Siemon Lakeview
  Manor Estate, Somerset. Born April 27, 1915, in Somerset Township, a son of
  Harry H. and Mazie Pearl (Berkey) Slickerman. Preceded in death by parents;
  stepfather, James B. Zerfoss; daughter, Carrol Ann Stahl; sisters, Carrie
  Gross, Helen Slickerman and Violet Hoffman and brother, Raymond E. "Sam"
  Slickerman. Survived by wife, the former Deloris Elaine (Eisler) to whom he was
  married 68 years; daughter, Mrs. Robert E. (Donna) Benedict, Gray; six
  grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Margaret Sabin,
  Bowie, Md. and half brother, Jay Zerfoss, Palo Alto, Calif. Member of Somerset
  Church of Christ. Retired with 40 years of service as a carpenter with the
  former Pleasant Ave. Building Supply. Also enjoyed hunting, fishing and
  golfing. No viewing or visitation. Memorial service will be conducted 10 a.m.
  Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Ronald Longwell
  officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
