  Leora Y. Sloan, 93, of Johnstown, formerly of Connellsville, died
  July 5, 1983, at the Allegheny Lutheran Home.  Born May 31, 1890, in
  Lavansville, the daughter of Simon Peter and Grace (Will) Young. 
  Preceded in death by parents; husband, March W.; and brother, Albert
  W.  Survived by nieces, Mrs. Harry Cochran Jr., Connellsville, and
  Mrs. James Lyon of Clearwater, Fla.  Member of First Church of Christ
  Scientists.  Friends will be received 11 a.m. to time of service at 1
  p.m. Thursday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central
  Ave., Johnstown, Reader, Margaret Kipilo.  Interment, Rockwood
  I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
