  SMEARMAN
  
  Harry C. Smearman, 78, of Meyersdale, died Nov. 4, 1999, at his
  home.  He was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Glade City, a son of the late
  Harry and Gertrude (Bowman) Smearman.  He was preceded by his wife,
  Hilda (Wisler) Smearman, Feb. 3, 1998.  Survived by these children:
  Ronald Smearman of Goshen, N.J., and Patricia, wife of Ronald Owens,
  of Stoystown; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Brother of
  Homer R. of Struthers, Ohio; Floyd D. and Lloyd, both of Meyersdale,
  and Betty, wife of James Patsy, of La Vale, Md.  Retired employee of
  Meyersdale Mfg. Co.  Member of Charles E. Kelly Post, American
  Legion.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Saturday at Leckemby Funeral Home, where the service will be at 2
  p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Randy L. Haulk officiating.  Interment, St.
  Paul Cemetery.  The family asks that contributions be made to St.
  Paul United Church of Christ in his name.
