Born Jan. 26, 1917 in Beaverdale, Pa., a son of Charles and Mary (Loschaska) Sminiski. Survived by his widow, the former Helen R. Bittner; three daughters; Mary Anne Brock, Winter Park, Fla.; Nancy Hundley, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Miss Jane of Ottawa, Canada; two grandsons: Larry and Johnathan Brock. He was a brother of Andrew Wenatchee of Washington; Michael of Dallas, Tex.; Mrs. John Mary Schmidt of Somerset RD 6. He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg. A life member of the Disabled American Veterans; a veteran of World War II, a quadruple amputee. Friends received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday where services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Carl Hall officiating. Interment in the Weller Cemetery.
