Born in Pittsburg and moved to Florida in 1950 from Somerset. Survived by three daughters, Mary Anne Elwood of Orlando, Fla., Nancy Reuter of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jane Sminiski of Otowaha [sic], Ontario Canada; one granddaughter Daphne Reuter of St. Petersburg, Fla., and three grandsons: Lowry Brock of Orlando Fla., Jonathan Brock of Grants Pass, Ore and Paul Tordion of Otowaha [sic], Ontario Canada. She was a member of the Pasadena Presbyterian Church in South Pasadena, Fla. Daily American, April 19, 2003 BITTNER-SMINISKI Helen Regina Bittner Sminiski, 82, formerly of Somerset and Jennerstown, died peacefully at her home in St. Petersburg, Fla. on April 17. Daughter of Roy and Rachael Stevanus Bittner and widow of Harry Sminiski (died 1975). Somerset Class of '38. Sadly missed by daughters and grandchildren: Mary Anne Elwood (Orlando) and sons Lowry and Jonathan; Nancy Reuter (St. Petersburg) and daughter Daphne; Jane Sminiski (Ottawa, Canada) and son Paul. Her remains are being brought home to repose with Harry at Weller Cemetery, Husband. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Somerset.
