  SMITH
  
  Mrs. Alice M. Smith, 70, of the Somerset Towers, Somerset, died March
  23, 1978 in the Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 7, 1908 at
  Somerset, a daughter of the late James M. and Jennie (Walker) Pyle. 
  Preceded in death by her husband, J. Arthur; and two sons, William
  and John Arthur Jr.; and a brother, James.  Survived by a sister,
  Mrs. Richard (Lois) Pitzer of Somerset and several nieces.  Friends
  are being received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where
  services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. James
  Vandervort officiating.  Interment, Berlin Cemetery.
