  BERTHA L. SMITH
  
    Bertha L. Smith, 92, of 1130 East Main St., Berlin, died Nov. 17,
  1979, at Meyersdale Community Hospital.  She was born July 13, 1887,
  in Boynton, a daughter of Milton J. and Laura (Thomas) Blough.  She
  was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy G. Smith; one
  son; six sisters; and three brothers.
    She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen, at home; and a son
  Walter G., of Wallkill, N.Y.; also three grandchildren; and six
  great-grandchildren.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran
  Church, Berlin.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services were held with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
