  SMITH
  
    Bertha M. Smith, 94, of Confluence, died March 30, 1998, at
  Somerset Hospital.  She was born Nov. 21, 1903, in Freeland, Pa., a
  daughter of the late Stanislaus and Anna (Kievszpulut) Szabosz.  She
  was preceded in death by her husband, Charles I. Smith.  She is
  survived by a brother, Stanley Sabas of Pittsburgh; and a sister,
  Tecla Richardson of Groves, Texas.  Friends will be received at the
  Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, on Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m.,
  the hour of service.  Interment will follow at Jersey Cemetery.
