Smith, 54, Somerset RD 6, died Oct. 6, 1986, at Frick Health Center, Mt. Pleasant, of injuries sustained in a mining accident. Born June 23, 1932, in Westmoreland County, son of the late William and Goldie (Kunkle) Smith. Preceded in death by sister Alice and daughter Billie Jo. Survived by wife, the former Terrene Henry; and these children: Mrs. Donald (Stephanie) Pritts, Champion; Mrs. Richard (Brenda) White, Melcroft; Wanda Jean, Goldie, Monica and Charles, at home; one grandson; two granddaughters. Brother of William F. Smith Jr., Somerset RD 4. He was a veteran of the Korean War, an active member of Post 554 VFW, Somerset, and also Post 941 American Legion, Donegal. He was employed by the Perco Coal Company. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where service will be held Friday at 1 p.m., the Rev.
