  Clara A. Smith, 95, Somerset, died July 3, 1988 in Meyersdale
  Manor.  Born May 4, 1893 in Jackson Twp., Huntingdon County, daughter
  of the late Robert and Emma (Wayland) DeArmitt.  Also preceded in
  death by first husband, Charles Letcher, and second husband, Oscar
  Smith; also two sons: James and Chalmer Letcher.  Survived by son,
  Paul C. Letcher, Somerset; eight grandchildren, ten
  great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.  A sister of:
  Mrs. Jack (Dorothy) Kylor, Strasburg; Mrs. Belle McClay and Mrs. Emma
  Jackson, both of Harrisburg; Mrs. Marian Harmon and Robert Carlous,
  both of Lewistown; Mrs. Dora Millard, DeArmitt, Valpariso, Ind.  A
  member of the First Christian Church of Somerset, she was a retired
  LPN at Somerset State Hospital and Siemon Lakeview Manor Estates. 
  Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Tuesday) in the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be Wednesday at 1:30
  p.m. with the Rev. Roy Worsham officiating.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
