  DALE E. SMITH
  
    Dale E. Smith, 22, Berlin RD 1, died Dec. 23, 1980, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.
    He was born March 24, 1958, in Somerset Township, son of Earnest B.
  and Hazel (Conn) Smith.
    He is survived by parents; sister, Wanda Kay, wife of Randy A.
  Bussard, Roaring Spring; paternal grandparents, Herlen and Bessie
  Smith; and great-grandmother, Edith Null, all of Ralphton; and
  fiancee, Mary Kerrigan, Somerset.
    He was a member of Missionary Alliance Church, Somerset.  He was
  employed by G.M. & W. Coal Co.  Member of Local 2200, UMWA; and
  Western Maryland Street Rod Association.
    Friends were received at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. 
  Services were conducted at Somerset Alliance Church, with the Rev.
  James Vandervort officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park.
