  SMITH
  
    Dorothy B. Smith, 82, of Somerset, died Aug. 17, 1988, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Oct. 12, 1905, in Johnstown, a daughter of
  the late Campbell and Maud (Smith) Rutledge.  Also preceded in death
  by a son William C. and a brother, Campbell.  She is survived by
  these children: Mrs. George (Joanne) Erwin, Cherry Hill, N.J.; and
  Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Scheidinger, Somerset; and foster children:
  Mrs. Jack (Elyse) Fox, Hilltown; Hilda Fetterman, Las Vegas, Nev.;
  also 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  She was a member
  of the First Presbyterian Church of Johnstown for 70 years and St.
  Paul's Presbyterian Church of Somerset.  She was a former member of
  the Johnstown Soroptimists, former manager of the furniture
  department of the Swank Hardware store in Johnstown, a 1927 graduate
  of Indiana Normal School and in 1960, she received her B.S. from
  Indiana State College.  There will be no visitation at the funeral
  home.  Memorial services will be held at a later date, at the
  convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of
  the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset.  Contributions may be made
  to the Mary S. Beisicker Library or the St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.
