She was 84 years of age. Mrs. Smith was a life-long resident of Meyersdale and a member of Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church in which she and her husband were active workers for many years. After the death of Mr. Smith several years ago and their home was disposed of, she spent her time among her daughters. She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. John Harding, Meyersdale; Mrs. Thomas Carter, Akron, O.; Mrs. Lloyd Clabaugh, Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Arthur Saylor, Akron, O.; and Mrs. Henry Branson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and by one son, John Smith, of Jerome. She is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Clara Hersh, Mishawaka, Ind.; Mrs. Alfaretta Schultz, Meyersdale R. D. 1, and Mrs. Anna Riehl, Berlin, and by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body will arrive in Meyersdale by train at 12:07 Friday afternoon. It will be received by W. C. Price, mortician, and taken to Amity Church where it may be viewed by friends before the funeral which will take place at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger conducting the services. Interment will be made in the Reformed Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, June 10, 1943
