  ELMER S. SMITH
  
    Elmer S. Smith, 77, of Meyersdale, died May 20, 1981.
    He was born March 8, 1904, in Glencoe, a son of the late Harvey and
  Elizabeth (Saylor) Smith.
    He was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Irene
  Benning.  He is survived by his widow, the former Frieda Bisbing and
  these children: Harold of Amherst, Ohio; Dale of Berlin; Mrs.
  Patricia Dietle of Chambersburg; and Mrs. Betty Trimpey of 
  Westminster, Md.; also 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. 
  He was a brother of Leroy and Irving, both of Glencoe; and Mrs.
  Alverda Keefer of Salisbury.
    He was a member of Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church and Meyersdale
  Senior Citizens.  He was a retired employee of Celenese Corporation.
    Friends were received in M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale,
  where services were held with the Rev. Ray Davis officiating. 
  Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make
  contributions to the Cancer Society.
