    Emmert Roger Smith, 71, Confluence, died Oct. 1, 2006, at his home. He was born Dec. 5,
  1934, in Confluence, a son of Charles Kenneth and Martha Mildred (Nickelson) Smith. He was
  preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary L. Smith. He is survived by his wife
  of 50 years, Shirley (Weimer) Smith; sons, Douglas, Rockwood, and Mark, Listie; daughter,
  Teresa Smith, Confluence; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey
  Hibler, Pittsburgh; and brother, Kennith Wayne Smith, Sacramento, Calif. He retired from
  Marsolino Construction Co. of Uniontown. There will be no viewing or visitation. Funeral
  arrangements are being handled by Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence.
