Smith, 96, of 644 South Ankney Ave., Somerset, died May 29, 1984, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born July 3, 1887, in Johnsburgh, son of the late Johann Casper and Barbara (Ellman) Smith. Preceded in death by wife, Lottie, on May 13; twin sister, Elizabeth Weimer; sister Matilda Schrock; and half-sister, Ella McQuade; brothers: Andrew, Charles, Henry and Albert. Survived by two daughters: Mrs. Romaine (Emily) Johnson, Ligonier; and Evelyn Smith, Somerset; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; one half-brother, Irvin Miller, Berlin; numerous nephews and nieces. The Smiths had been married for 75 years. Former employee of the B&O Railroad, and in later years a self-employed trucker. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller funeral home, where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. H.
