Smith, 94, of Corriganville, Md., died Feb. 13, 1996, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Md. Smith was born Oct. 16, 1901, in Fairhope. He was the son of the late Henry and Anna (Mull) Smith. He was also preceded in death by two wives, Bertha L. (Hosselrode) Smith in 1931, and Tillis M. (Hosselrode) Smith in 1991; twin sons: Harry and Harvey Smith; a grandson, Harvey G. Smith; a great-granddaughter, April A. Deneen; and two sisters: Elsie Cross and Ella Winebrenner. He is survived by a son, Elmer F. Smith and wife Betty, Corriganville; a daughter, Martha L. Kennell and husband Billy, Corriganville; a grandson, Leo H. Shinholt, whom he raised as a son and with whom he resided; 11 other grandchildren: Billy Kennell, Timmy Kennell, Jo Ann Willingham, Diane Douty, Karen Diehl, Debbie Cessna, Susan Smith, Cindy Deneen, Tony Sturtz, Tammy Leydig and Glenna Hollem; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two daughters-in-law: Betty Smith, Corriganville; and Ann Barna, Hyndman RD 1. Harvey was a retired member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #37. He was also a retired beef cattle farmer. He was one of the founders of the S&S Maple Camp and enjoyed carpenter work and hunting. Friends will be received Feb. 22 (today) at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home in Hyndman and at the church for one hour prior to the service, which will be conducted at 1 p.m. Feb. 23 at Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie, Md. Rev. Ken L.
