      Helen L. "Nell" (Lease) Smith, 82, 332 Somerset St., Jerome, died
  Oct. 18, 1993, at home.  Born March 15, 1911, in Bethlehem, daughter
  of Anthony and Jeanette (Miller) Lease.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, Edward J., May 3, 1971; son, Donald L., Dec. 22,
  1979; sister, Nona Porter; brothers: John, Martin, Ray and Lynn. 
  Survived by these sons: Raymond E. "Red," married to Joyce Clack,
  Charlestown, W.Va.; David N. "Pudgh," married to Thelma Kuhns,
  Latrobe RD 2, and Edward J. "Hack," at home; also daughter-in-law,
  Lois (Blough) Smith, Davidsville; nine grandchildren and 16
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of William, Hollsopple RD 2, and
  Margaret Stattler, Mentor, Ohio.  Member of Jerome Lutheran Church. 
  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman
  Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held
  at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Susanne Palmquist officiating. 
  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
