    HELEN M. SMITH
    
      Helen M. Smith, 76, of Berlin, died Jan. 19, 1996, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Aug. 29, 1919, in Glencoe, daughter of H.C. and Hulda
  (Miller) Raupach.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert S.,
  brother, Carl Raupach Jr., and son-in-law, Robert Leydig.  Survived
  by these children: Elaine Leydig, Albuquerque, N.M.; Stanley, married
  to the former Carla Miller of Berlin, Kay, married to Cliff Vinson,
  Martinsburg, W.Va., grandchildren: Rick, Mike and Linda Leydig;
  Sherri Tollari, Ralph and Matthew Smith and Robert Vinson;
  great-grandchildren: Ariana, Lisa and Jade Leydig, Cezanne and
  Gianpaul Tollari, Candyce and Reece Smith.  Sister of Leota Landis of
  Berlin; Janet Bingman of Meyersdale and William Raupach of Glencoe. 
  She was a member of the Glencoe United Church of Christ, Robert
  Walker V.F.W. Post 7295 auxiliary, where she served as secretary for
  30 years, Berlin Fire Company auxiliary, and Somerset County
  Firemen's Association.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Saturday, 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.  Rev. Charles R. Dunn
  officiating.  Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Glencoe U.C.C., Glencoe, Pa., 15543.
