    SMITH
    
      Henry F. Smith, 91, of Somerset RD 7, formerly of Johnstown, died
  Aug. 7, 1993, in Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate.  Born July 1, 1902, in
  Johnstown.  Son of William J. Sr. and Sophie (Kurtz) Smith.  Also
  preceded in death by brothers - Edward, Joseph, William Jr. and
  Robert; sisters - Anna Schofield, Caroline Carville and Veronica
  Smith.  Also daughter, Joyce Dene Smith.  Survived by a daughter,
  Mrs. Harold S. (Betty) Hay, Somerset RD 7; grandchildren - Joyce
  Mayer, Janet Higgins, Robert J. Mayer, Patricia Mayer, Gretchen
  Smith; great-grandchildren - Jamie Higgins, James M. Mayer, Kelly Ann
  Mayer and Michael Cascio.  He was a member of St. John Gaulbert's
  Cathedral.  A retired security guard for Bethlehem Steel.  An Army
  veteran of World War II.  Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted
  at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Msgr. Samuel J.
  Tomaselli officiating.  Interment at the convenience of the family in
  the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.  Arrangements by Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home.
