  SMITH
  
    Herbert Smith, 93, 651 Hogback Road, Confluence, died Sept. 20,
  2000 in Somerset Hospital.  Born July 11, 1907 in Addison Township. 
  Son of the late Daniel and Louisa (Beckett) Smith.  In addition to
  his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mae E. (Keslar), a
  grandson, five brothers and five sisters.  He is survived by
  daughters, Nancy Lee Turney, Marilyn Dwire, Geraldine G. Smith and
  Sarah Fitzpatrick and a son Jack R. Smith, all of Confluence.  Seven
  grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister Elsie Smith of
  Confluence.  He was a retired employee of Keystone Lime Co.  A member
  of Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Association and Operating Engineers Union
  Local 66 for over 50 years.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9
  p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Rev.
  Arthur J. Gotjen officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park.
