    James M. Smith, 66, Clearville, died Dec. 2, 2007. Born Aug. 27, 1941, a son of George
  Smith of Martinsburg, and the late Hazel Smith. On June 26, 1960, he married Nancy Ann
  Helsel, who survives along with their daughters, Pamela McKnight, Robin Clapper, Ruth
  Johnson, Barbara Welsh and Christine Smith; 11 grandchildren; a sister and three
  brothers. Mr. Smith attended Bethel Christian Church. After his retirement from 27 years
  of farming, he founded the Smith Ranch Horse and Carriage Service, moving to Clearville
  in 1995, where he operated the carriage service and was a gentleman farmer. Jim had a
  great love for the Lord, his wife Nancy and family and will be greatly missed. Friends
  may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett
  and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service 11 a.m. Friday at Clear Ridge Fellowship
  Church, Everett.
