  KATHERINE ANN SMITH
  
    Katherine Ann Smith, 63, of Rear Plank Road, Somerset, died Sept
  26, 1979, in Somerset Community Hospital.
    She was born May 1, 1916 in Hyndman, a daughter of Harry and Elesta
  (Hook) Emerick.  She was preceded in death by husband, Leroy H. Smith;
  one brother, Andrew; and one sister, Mae.
    She is survived by the following children: Betty, wife of Joe
  Zoldy, Cleveland, Ohio; Robert, Stoystown RD 3; Shirley Moldoven,
  Somerset; Donald, Friedens RD2; Joe, Hollsopple RD2; also, 14
  grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  These brothers and
  sisters: Harry Emerick, Hyndman; Clara Emerick, Meyersdale; Ida
  Kosko, Maryland; Minnie Martell, Windber; Mary Medd, Riverside, N.J.;
  George Emerick, Florida; and Earl Emerick, Friedens RD 2.  She resided
  at the home of Earl Hauger.
    Friends were received in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Warren MacEachren officiating. 
  Interment, Hyndman Cemetery.
