  LAWRENCE J. SMITH
  
    Lawrence J. Smith, 75, West Salisbury, died Oct. 11 at his home. 
  Born Dec. 25, 1890, in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Andrew and
  Lydia C. (McKenzie) Smith.
    He is survived by one sister and a brother, Miss Edna Smith, West
  Salisbury, and Andrew Smith, Lecontes Mills.
    Mr. Smith was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West
  Salisbury; Salisbury VFW and was a veteran of World War I.
    Requiem high mass was sung Friday morning at St. Michael's Catholic
  Church, with Rev. John V. Orlando officiating.  Interment was made in
  the church cemetery.  Arrangements were in charge of Thomas Funeral
  Home, Salisbury.
