    Lee E. Smith, 73, of White Horse Road, Berlin, died April 29, 1998,
  at Somerset Hospital.  Born March 31, 1925, in Allegheny Township, son
  of Harry A. and Annie M. (Coughenour) Smith.  Preceded in death by
  parents; brothers, Wilfred O. and Carl H.  Survived by his wife of 46
  years, the former Erma Engleka; a son, Ronald L., married to former
  Diane Snyder of Library; granddaughters, Michelle E. and Cheryl L.  A
  brother of Harry O. of Fairhope; Ada Glessner of Johnstown and Earl O.
  of Gulf Breeze, Fla.  World War II army veteran.  Retired rural mail
  carrier.  Member of Roxbury United Church of Christ.  An avid
  sportsman and past president of the Somerset County Sportsmen's
  League.  Member of Berlin, Paradise Valley, and Mountain Field and
  Stream sportsmen's clubs.  Member of Berlin American Legion and
  Berlin Volunteer Fire Department.  Family will receive friends from 7
  to 9 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Deaner Funeral
  Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.  Rev.
  Jay E. Shaffer and Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating.  Interment,
  Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to the
  Berlin Sportsmen's Club, in care of John Bender, 601 Mason Dixon
  Highway, Berlin, Pa., 15530.
