  MAGGIE V. SMITH
  
    Maggie V. Smith, 58, of Hyndman RD 1, formerly of Williams Road,
  Cumberland, Md., died Wednesday, December 5, 1984, at Sacred Heart
  Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland.
    She had moved to Hyndman RD 1, three months ago from Cumberland,
  where she had resided for 12 years.
    Born in Maysville, W.Va., Dec. 18, 1925, she was a daughter of Fred
  Bowers, Oldtown, Md., and the late Maggie (Crider) Bowers.
    She was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church, Cumberland. 
  She was preceded in death by two husbands, Peter L. Mason in 1965 and
  Roy V. Smith in 1975.
    Besides her father, she is survived by four sons, James R. Bowers
  and Robert L. Mason, both of Greencastle; David L. Mason,
  Mercersburg; Lloyd M. Mason, with whom she resided; four brothers,
  Virgil Bowers and Howard Bowers, both of Cumberland; Homer Bowers,
  Aliquippa; Thomas Bowers, Washington, D.C.; one sister, Mrs. Bertha
  Livengood, address unknown, and 10 grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where
  services were conducted by the Rev. Rene G. Oliver.  Interment,
  Hillcrest Burial Park, Cumberland.
