MARCELLUS J. SMITH

  Marcellus J. Smith, 70, died last Sunday morning at his home in Allegheny 
Twp., after an extended illness.  He operated a farm in that section for many 
years.  He was born in Allegheny Twp. on May 15, 1878.  
  He is survived by his wife, Alice (Suhrie) Smith, and nine children - Clarence 
and Mrs. George Cromer, both of Wilkinsburg; Romaine, with the WAVES in 
California; Thomas, New Baltimore; Bernard, Berlin R.D. 5; Mrs. Leo Inbrund, 
Buffalo Mills; Mrs. Adam Inbrund, Central City R.D.; Mrs. Norbert Warner, 
Johnstown, and Mrs. Frank Lohr, Berlin R.D. 5.  A brother, Al Smith, resides in 
New Baltimore.
  A requiem high mass was celebrated at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. John 
the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore, by Rev. Father Sebastian Uraner.  
Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Son, Berlin 
morticians.
