Smith, 58, of West Main Street, Somerset, died July 16, 1978 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Oct. 31, 1919, in Acosta, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Maleta (Clark) Bahr. Preceded in death by parents and one son, Milton Jr. Survived by her husband, Milton J. and these children: Charlotte, wife of 1st Sgt. Joseph Chesla, Anchorage, Alaska; Gy. Sgt. Clarence A., Quantico, Va., Donnie G., Somerset; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; one sister, Lillian Peymorer, Milwaukee, Wis. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at the Somerset Church of God. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. The body will be removed to the Somerset Church of God at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to lie in state until 1:30 p.m., the hour of the service, the Rev. Flavis L. Burroughs Sr., officiating.
