Smith, 76, West Leisenring, Pa., formerly of Somerset and Acosta, died Oct. 10, 1981, in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born July 15, 1905, in Meyersdale, son of the late Julius G. and Anna (Barnhart) Smith. He was preceded in death by wife, the former Mildred (Bahr) Smith and one son Milton Jr. He is survived by these children: Charlotte, wife of Joseph Chesla, Anchorage, Alaska; Clarence A., West Leisenring; and Donnie G., Somerset; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was a brother of: Paul, San Jose Calif.; George, Vineland, N.J.; and Carl, Melcroft. Member of Somerset Church of God. He was a retired coal miner for Consolidation Coal Co.; and a retiree of Somerset Community Hospital. Friends were received in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at Somerset Church of God, with the Rev. D. R. Buchanan officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. The Republic, October 15, 1981 [S2161]
