    Nellie M. "Dutch" Smith, 67, Stoystown, died Oct. 9, 2006, at Somerset Hospital. Born
  Dec. 18, 1938, in Ligonier Township, daughter of George and Nellie Brant. Preceded in
  death by her parents. Survived by her husband, Lewis; children, Tammy, married to David
  Paul, Ohio; Sharon Fink, New Castle; grandchildren, Jesse Maschue and Gabriella DeRosa;
  stepdaughters, Amy, married to Steve Palya, Stoystown; Jane, married to Greg Lowry,
  Stoystown; step grandchildren, Adam and Ashley Palya and Zach and Lacy Lowry. A graduate
  of Johnstown High School, former employee of Stoystown American Legion Post 257, member
  of Stoystown American Legion Auxiliary and Hooversville VFW Auxiliary. At the family's
  request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at
  the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. The Rev. Matthew Deal officiating. Instead of
  flowers, contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 168 West Union St.,
  Somerset, PA 15501.
