She was born May 6, 1938 in Meyersdale, daughter of the late William and Verda (Schardt) Musser. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John H. Smith; and five children: Larry Smith and his wife Karen, Meyersdale; Tim Smith and his wife Deb, Meyersdale; Tom Smith and his wife Tracey, Meyersdale; Dean Smith and his wife Becky, Meyersdale; and Becky wife of Kevin Cranford, Avon, OH; grandchildren: Dan Smith and his wife Heather, Meyersdale; Christie, wife of Erik Schafer, Meyersdale; April Smith, Harrisburg; Tanner, Ty, Matthew and Patrick Smith, all of Meyersdale; Dustin Cranford and Olivia Cranford, Avon. Also survived by great grandchildren: Nathan and Kyle Smith; Ethan, Emily and Evan Schafer; and Eva Escalet. A sister of William Musser and his wife Reda, Meyersdale; and Judy Clites, Lewisburg. Also survived by many loving brothers and sisters-in-law. Peggy retired from Meyersdale Medical Center after twenty-four years of dedicated service in the dietary department. She was a member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church where she enjoyed serving as a Sunday school teacher and Sparky leader for many years. She also enjoyed playing the piano. A highlight of her life was Monday night card club with "the girls". Her love of cooking, kept EVERYONE well fed. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale. Service was conducted at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, with the Rev. Randy Haulk officiating. Interment Mt.
