  RAYMOND J. SMITH
  
    Raymond J. Smith, 73, of New Castle, died June 12, 1973 after being
  a patient in the hospital and nursing home there since Dec. 26, 1972.
    A former resident of Grantsville, he was a native of Everett and
  was a retired employee of Western Union Telegraph Co.
    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Allison, New Castle; two
  grandchildren; one great grandchild; one step-brother and a
  stepsister.  His wife, the former Setta A. Baker preceded him in
  death on May 30.
    Funeral service was conducted June 15 in Robert Meyers Funeral Home
  with interment in New Castle.
