  SMITH
  
    Robert W. Smith, 53, Rear 820 Wood Street, Johnstown, died March
  28, 1988 at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Jan. 15, 1935 in
  Johnstown, a son of Theodore R. and Nellie (Beatty) Smith. Preceded
  in death by parents; a sister, Genevieve Kimmel; and an infant
  brother, Theodore Jr.  Survived by his wife, the former Carole F.
  Castagnola.  He was a member of the B.P.O.E. 175, Johnstown; the
  Johnstown Metropolitan Bowling Association; the V.F.W.; Country Club
  of Indiana; and Polish National Alliance 1327.  He was a graduate of
  the University of Pittsburg and he received a B.S. degree in
  Industrial Engineering.  He was the owner of the Smith Machine Shop
  in Johnstown.  Friends received 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home in Johnstown, where
  service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Callihan
  officiating.  Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
