  ROY W. SMITH
  
    Roy W. Smith, 71, of Hyndman RD 1, died Jan. 30, 1982 in Memorial
  Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    He was born March 24, 1910 in Fairhope, a son of the late William
  Smith and Ida (Kennell) Smith.
    He was a former employee of White-Haines Optical Company, Hyndman;
  a member of Wellersburg United Methodist Church and Wellersburg
  Senior Citizens.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marie (Markwood) Smith; two
  daughters, Mrs. Judy Hosselrode, Hyndman RD 1; Mrs. Iva Lou Bittner,
  North Huntingdon; two brothers, Alvin Smith, Frostburg Md.; J. Carl
  Smith, Mill Run; three sisters, Mrs. Mayme Troutman, Wellersburg;
  Mrs. Mary Mason, Hyndman; Mrs. Hazel Witt, Cumberland, Md.; five
  grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where
  services were conducted by the Rev. Allyn L. Ricketts.  Interment
  will be in Cooks Cemetery.
