  SMITH
  
    Stanley A. Smith, 65, of Quecreek, died March 5, 1979 as the result
  of a fire in his home.  Born April 22, 1913 in Westmoreland County, a
  son of William W. and Nellie (Dudek) Smith.  Veteran of the Air
  Force, World War II.  Retired employee of Saxman Coal and Coke Co. 
  Member of UMW of A.  Preceded in death by parents; and one brother,
  Joe.  Survived by these brothers and sisters:  John, Martin, and Mrs.
  Mary Zurvansky, all of Quecreek; Frank, Acosta; Andrew, Virginia
  Beach, Va.; Helen Brennan, South Beloit, Ill.; and Walter and Edward,
  Tonawanda, N.Y.  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Thursday in
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted
  Friday at 10 a.m., the Rev. J. Joseph Strittmatter.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
