  SMITH
  
    Stewart G. Smith, 74, of Berlin died Feb. 25, 2002 at his
  residence.  He was born April 6, 1927 in Northampton Township, a son
  of Charles H. and Flora (Coughenour) Smith.  He was preceded in death
  by his parents; three brothers, Merle, Robert, Paul; and three
  sisters, Annie Webreck, Marion Coughenour and Hazel Crites.  He is
  survived by four daughters, Sharon L married to John Griffith,
  Newcomb, Md.; Dianne C. Myers, Seabrook, Texas; Pamela J., married to
  Jeffery Schall, Newcomb, Md.; Debra S. Bunch, Easton, Md.; two sons:
  Thomas G., Pompano Beach, Fla.; Timothy S. Cordova, Md.; seven
  grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers: S. Ray, married
  to the former Betty Bittner, Berlin; Dale W. Fairhope and two sisters,
  Orlene Raupach, Berlin; and Betty Bittner, North Versailles.  He was a
  graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High   School, Class of 1945; Navy
  veteran of World War II; and a member of Berlin American Legion Harry
  Fisher Post 445.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, the time of service at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Rev. Melvin A. Kirk Jr. will be
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial
  contributions may be sent to the Berlin Ambulance Association, P.O.
  Box 64, Berlin, Pa., 15530.
