Born Oct. 10, 1925 in Shanksville, the daughter of William and Nevada (Mostoller) Kimmel. Proceeded in death by parents; brothers, John, George, Wilmer and William (Bud); sisters, Velma Walker and Shirley Custer. Survived by loving husband of 53 years, Glenn V. Smith and these children: Alettia M., wife of Eric Vasquez, central City; Lizzie, wife of Robbie Robison, Friedens; Jody Marko, Central City and granddaughter, Denise, wife of Dan Kroon, Somerset who Vickie and Glen raised; grandchildren: Denise, Robbie, Becky, Allyson, Christin, Heather and Buffy; great grandchildren: Danielle, Emily, Devon, Harley, Alexis, Brandon and Johnnie. Also survived by sisters: Blanche Ferrara and Luella Speicher, both of Somerset and sister in law, Ruth Kimmel. Vickie worked long and hard to secure toll-free calling to Somerset, Johnstown, Windber and Berlin. She will be sadly missed by her family and countless friends. Friends were received Sunday at Mulcahy Funeral Home where Parastas will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Father Charles Kovich. Interment, Mizpah Cemetery, Friedens.
