GEORGE SMOUSE

Grantsville, Maryland

  Relatives here received news last Monday night (April 22) that George Smouse, 
aged 45, had died at his home at Scottdale, Pa., that morning.  To their 
knowledge, he had not previously been ill, and other than that the funeral 
services would be held Wednesday, no further details were given in the message.
  Mr. Smouse was a son of Mrs. Ida Ferrel Smouse and the late George Smouse, 
natives of this section.  While he had made his home elsewhere, he and his 
family had often visited here, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Younkin, 
and were well known in the community.  In addition to his mother, his wife and 
several children survive.
