  SMUCKER
  
  Owen J. Smucker, 84, of North Rosina Avenue, Somerset, died July 16,
  1980, at his home.  Born Sept. 10, 1895, in Somerset Twp., son of
  Frank and Mary (Emert) Smucker.  Preceded in death by his parents,
  and one infant daughter, Dorothy Jean.  Survived by his wife, Mabel
  (Fritz) Smucker; and two brothers, Ed and Alpha H., both of
  Somerset.  He was a lifelong member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran
  Church, and a member of the Men's Bible Class.  Held various offices
  in both the church and Sunday school.  Retired employee of Somerset
  Post Office with 38 years service.  Member of the Laurel Ridge
  Sportsmen's Association.  Friends will be received after 7 p.m.
  Thursday at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.  Funeral service will
  be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Casebeer Lutheran
  Church, the Rev. Robert R. Clark officiating.  Interment, Church
  cemetery.  Body will lie in state in church from 12:30 p.m. to hour
  of service.
